Alex lives in Milan. Jenny lives in Melbourne. They are sixteen years old,and a thin strand connects their lives forever: they can communicate telepathically, but this power appears without warning, and only while they're asleep. During one of these episodes, they arrange to meet. Alex runs away from home, arriving in Melbourne, Altona Beach Pier, at the agreed time. But Jenny is not there — she cannot be, because Alex and Jenny live in different dimensions. In Jenny's dimension, Alex is someone else. In Alex's dimension, Jenny died at the age of six. The Multiverse threatens to implode and disappear as they draw closer — but Jenny and Alex must meet. Only their love can change a fate that has already come true.
